COMMERCIAL EXTENSION
The Joomla! Jobs extension, recently listed in the JED, has been quite a neat little item. It is another commercial extension, but it gives you a lot to work with. Whether you are a job seeker, or an employer, you will find plenty of tools with this extension.
Job seekers are enabled to post resumes, which are stored on the website. This is beneficial for employers seeking new employees. They can browse for a small fee. Job Seekers are also allowed to browse job listings placed by potential employers.
Employers, are given the opportunity to list their company, and job openings. If they wish to browse the database of resumes, they are more than welcome to. You can even set a fee to browse!
Overall, very good extension thus far, and we haven't had any major problems. We can say that the Home Page layout needs some work, but overall, its a solid extension that is only going to get better.
Instant PHP claims with an upcoming release they will be able to add custom fields, enabling you to expand or reduce your resume, and listing options!!!!
Overall we are going to give this a score of 4.6.

- Jom Social Review
COMMERCIAL EXTENSION
This extension is very similar to the way that Facebook operates. It allows your site users to create a personal profile, walls, and program in various applications, even allows for a Twitter display!
We think that this extension is incredible. Well worth the site licensing fees! So far I have programmed the Jom Social component into 4 sites and each site has been a successful easy install, and all of the programming options are clean and easy to understand.
I mostly like it because it allows you to have a community that is seperate from Facebook, but just as good, and you can share information from Jom Social over to Facebook with the proper programming.
When you get the Jom Social package, you also get access to the modules and applications that come with it. Each of these applications can be installed or left out, depending on your community needs. The only bit of trouble with this extension is you have to set-up cron tasks and that may be a little advanced for most user's. Other than that, its wonderful right out of the box!
Overall we are going to give this a score of 4.6.

OPEN SOURCE EXTENSION
I don't know where to start with this review. This review makes me frizzled just thinking about it. K2 is a major advancement to the way that Joomla! handles articles! Don't get me wrong, the Joomla! core is great. K2 makes it EXCELLENT.
Most sites these days want to see "Social Network Sharing" links. K2 adds that by default. What else? Videos, Attachements, Images, and even a simple image gallery!
Bottom Line, the K2 extension is great. If you don't believe me, look around. Most of our content on this site, is powered by K2. Including the reCaptcha! Comes with it, just put in your API key from reCaptcha!
Overall we are going to give this extension a 4.9
